It’s that time of year again where the days start to get shorter, the evenings are a little cooler, and the countdown to the end of summer draws nearer and nearer. We must admit that this year is looking much different than any of us could have imagined, but moving forward with a positive attitude is really all we can do.
To help you get back into a “routine”, whatever that might look like for you, we’ve come up with 5 of our best tips!
Go to sleep and wake up at the same time every day - We get it, it’s light out way later in the summer and there’s no rush in the morning because (especially now) there haven't been many places to go. But come September, let’s get back to routine and that starts with our sleeping habits.
Meal Prep - You will be patting yourself on the back when it’s 5:30 pm, your kids are losing it, and you open the fridge to find a pre-made lasagna you can just throw in the oven. BOOM! The power of meal prep. Don’t forget this works for breakfast and lunch too. A little prep goes a long way!
Sweat it out - Yeah we said it, even twenty minutes of some physical activity can be a game changer for not only your physical but also your mental game. There are a lot of really great on demand workout programs now so you can workout from wherever. Remember, you will never regret working out.
You’re dehydrated, drink some water - Drinking enough water throughout the day is SO IMPORTANT! If you’re not that jazzed about H2O then try some bougie sparkling water. Anything to get the liquid into your system.
Last and maybe the best tip, treat yo self! - Some people flourish during this time of year, others struggle. Whichever side of the pendulum you are on, pick something to reward yourself for all your hard work. For some, this might be a shiny new planner for others this is a new manicure. You decide!
This year has us feeling all the feels. Some days are harder than others and some days we are overflowing with gratitude. Regardless of all the strange things going on we just want to remind you that we are all in this together and we are going to get through this together!
